In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Newark, DE is still America's most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it's always Friday.

Jason has made this experience good for me. If it was not for Jason, the rating would be a 1 star. I am sitting at a booth in the bar area and the servers other than Jason walk pass you like you don't exist. Thank you Jason!! I hope you do not have to share your tip.

Our server Nichelle did an excellent job today. She was very fast and friendly with her service. I've never been to this location in particilar but I will come back. I'd recommend asking for her if you want a good dining experience!

I don’t really appreciate having a reservation for just two people, and having several walk-ins seated before me. Super unorganized and under staffed for a Saturday night. Ended up leaving after waiting for 20 minutes after not being seated for our reservation time.

Terrible! It has gone downhill over the years. The menu is limited and the service is just awful. In Newark, even early when least crowded...you will wait a long time to be seated, waited on it even served. The food will take long too. I'm not unreasonable. I like taking my time, but I used to live this place. It's just not worth it anymore.

Today's visit was the worst experience at this location. Our waitress was a young lady named Hunter. Her service for our table was horrible. We got there between 3pm and 3:10pm. We were given I'm sorry so many times I lost count. She stood and talked to the table behind us. My.husband's order was put in correctly and my food order was canceled because my salad was never put in. I was told it was an entree. Long story short, the manager on duty just told us sorry. Piss poor service given. First time it happened but last time I visit this location. I'M Sorry

This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. Whenever I I need a fair meal, this is the place that comes first to my mind. good and diverse food and a rich menu.courteous team, and agreeable mood. And very important, the bill is good. I recommend this restaurant with no doubt.

Let down by the food quality and service at this location every time. Unfortunately last time I went and ordered a "fillet", it came out as a sirloin cut smaller. Then when I asked management, they said that their "fillets" we "not like steak house fillets." When confronted about the price difference, I was told "our older customers come in all the time and enjoy it. They are not bothered by the price." I filed an official complaint, because selling a sirloin as a fillet and then saying that your older customers don't even know the difference. . . Yea, that's a little concerning to me.

Enjoy going to TGI ! Food on the menu is always good. I like Jack Daniels sauce with the Shrimp. It is really good. Only draw back, they do charge extra. Not fair, they didn't use to charge.

Went to this TGI Fridays in 2015 and my husband and I decided to never go there again because the service times were slow and the food was warm at best. We decided to try them again tonight. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, overall the restaurant was dirty, service times were 45 min., food arrived barely warm and again when I asked for a medium cooked steak, it arrived very well done. The server was nice but we saw no management direction. Never again. There are too many other restaurants that are much better.

Food was good had salmon and broccoli with Jasmine rice.only thing it was freezing inside and they advertise this lots of food but you barely get enough..forgot to take a pic but trust not alot at all. But was good

This was some of the worst food i have ever experienced and cost almost $100 for a family of four. Curb side was a joke, no one that knows what they are doing,,, just guessing. The food was awful, almost burned. A total disaster from start to finish. WE will not ever be eating there again.

Had to find our own utensils and condiments. Waitress took off when we asked for the silverware. Steak looked half of what it should have been. Waitress didn't address issue when we asked about it. Service was slow. Tails not cut off breaded or pan cooked shrimp. Appetizer loaded potatoes were dried out with no potato. Looked like dog treats. Would not recommend.

First impressions are always the best and I had a really good experience my first time here. Comfortable seating, really friendly staff or at least the guy who served us and awesome food. We had Cajun chicken shrimp pasta, Garlic chicken and cheese, traditional wings, a couple of fresh fruit juices and a brownie obsession for dessert. I loved everything to say the truth. There is an option for endless, where they keep refilling, but we opted for the other. They only had boneless wings in that offer and it had too many conditions. Whatsoever, I definitely recommend this place!

Horrible server. Slow service with low volume of customers at the time of our visit. Our complaints directly to the manager yielded no improvement in behavior or service, and an added charge on the bill. Likely will not return to this location even though I have been bringing my family for years! All it takes is one bad experience. Step it up, TGI Fridays.

Frequently come here after church. Everyone always wants something different to eat. I personally love the Dragon glazed salmon. Others want huge hamburgers and fries. And then there are those who do salads. No matter what we are craving we each get out fill of delicious food. Casual dining and fun times.

The wait was long but when we were led to our seats we saw plenty of open tables that were already cleaned and ready to go. My napkin was dirty that held my cutlery and our server was forgetful. Food was good but overall experience not so much

Picked up 5 various meals to go for mother's Day, everything tasted terrible. Orders were incorrect, total kaos. It was as if management took the day off.

This place used to be the best place to go for wings and drinks. (Cocktails) After they changed management, the new waiters and waitresses didn't want to work. The crew from the past moved on and the new crew ran me and my friends out of there with poor customer service. My wings had pink in them as if they weren't done. My bartender took forever to ask me if I wanted another drink. When I tried to get her attention, she ignored me. So never again!!!

This place serves excellent burgers, sandwiches, and nuggets among other dishes. The staff here is friendly and this place serves alcohol. One can eat here for $12-20.

My wife and I went for dinner a couple weeks ago on a Thursday evening at about 7:00 PM. We went inside and the music (classic rock, not offensive) was at an extremely loud nightclub-level volume but we agreed to deal with it. We can usually roll with the punches.We waited for a host for a moment. He came and told us of a 15 minute wait. We looked around and saw at least 60% of the tables were vacant so we asked him why there was a wait. "Kitchen is backed up."We sat in the waiting room for a moment with the thump-thump-thump of the music and just gave up. We went to a competitor in the same area, got seated immediately and had a nice quiet dinner. They won. You lose. We won't be back, don't bother with your canned apology that you've given all the others who have pointed out your shortcomings.

Tonight we celebrated my Mom's 96th birthday at the Newark location . Ciera was our waitress. She was EXCELLENT!!! Kept up with our drinks, served our large group in a timely manner and was very friendly. This is about the 10th year we have had her birthday dinner here. While each visit was satisfactory, this was above and beyond. Thank you TGIFRIDAY and thank you Ciera!!

Friday’s isn’t exactly fine dining, but it was exactly what we needed. For a party of 6 late at night, we were able to order a giant variety of appetizers to share, mostly fried and salty 😬. The service was quick, the beer was good, and the food hit the spot in an otherwise removed area of Newark.
